Upcoming Performances: Miss DC & 4th of July Parade

June 27-July 4 will be a performance-packed week! In a whirlwind span of just seven days, AVA Dance Company will be taking over the biggest stages in the District.

First, we are honored to return as the featured performers at the Miss DC Scholarship Pageant on Saturday, June 27, where we’ll share the stage with local royalty as they crown the next Miss DC (the preliminary to the Miss America stage!). Leah, AVA's Founder/Director, has choreographed two high energy pieces that we will perform at the opening and right before the crowning.

Then on Saturday, July 4, we will return to the heart of the capital for our third consecutive year in Washington DC's National Independence Day Parade! We will be celebrating the country's 250th birthday with an all-American Pom routine, choreographed by 2X NFL dancer Louis, in the DC's annual parade. The parade kicks off at 10:30 am at 3rd St. NW and Constitution Ave. and will run down Independence Ave.

Whether we are performing under the stage lights or marching down Constitution Avenue, we are so proud of our dancers for representing AVA on such a massive scale. Stay tuned to our socials and and this for behind-the-scenes content and the full performances from both events—you won't want to miss a beat!
