NFL Pre-Game Performance - Join us for Sunday Night Football!

AVA Dance Company returns to Northwest Stadium, the home of the Washington Commanders, on November 1, 2026. We will perform during the pre-game festivities before the Commanders face off against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday Night Football! Registration begins on Friday, September 11, at 8 AM through the link below.
We are looking for dancers to join us for a unique performance opportunity! Our annual NFL Performance with the Washington Commanders returns on on Sunday, November 1, 2026 and YOU could be performing with us at Legends Plaza inside of Northwest Stadium! This Sunday Night Football game will be packed with energy as the Commanders take on their NFC East rival, the Philadelphia Eagles.
We will be performing a Pom & Hip Hop fusion routine, choreographed by Jordan Frauenheim! Jordan has been an instructor with AVA since 2020 and spent 5 seasons dancing professionally with the Commanders as a First Lady of Football turned Command Force team member!
Rehearsals will be held on the following Tuesdays at Gold's Gym - Ballston from 8:30P-9:30P:

Please note that we will not be performing on the field during this game. While the game kicks off at 8:20PM, please save the afternoon as our exact call time & performance time are TBA! We anticipate call time to be approx. 3 hours prior to the game.
Registration will open on Friday, September 11 at 8AM via the Google Form below. Once the form hits its maximum number of dancers + waitlist, it will close. Dancers will be contacted via email later that day to be notified whether they will be performing with us or are on the waitlist.
The registration cost for this experience is $250. Additionally, dancers will need to purchase any costume needs as well as their game ticket using our AVA Dance Company link in order to perform. Game tickets start at $120.
What makes this performance extra special is that we also get to see many of our drop-in class instructors who are members of Command Force, in action! Command Force is the official performance team of the NFL's Washington Commanders and perform on the field during the game.
Choreographers: Jordan Frauenheim
Jordan is a Virginia native who grew up dancing competitively with a local studio. She is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University with a degree in Dance and Choreography. While at VCU, she was also on her college dance team the VCU Gold Rush dancers, where she held leadership roles including being a captain her senior year.
After graduating in May of 2018, Jordan began her life-long dream of becoming a professional dancer. That dream came true in 2019 when she became a member of the then Washington Redskins’ First Ladies! Since then, Jordan spent 5 seasons dancing for the now Washington Commanders and was named a captain for both the 2022 and 2023 seasons!
Jordan has been teaching at AVA for the past 6 years (Jazz, Pom & Hip Hop) and has choreographed large group routines for our 2023 & 2024 Performance Showcases. We're excited to have her return to create this performance opportunity, which hits extra close to home!

If I can't make a rehearsal, can I still participate?
Priority will be given to dancers who can attend all rehearsals. If spots are still open, we will open registration up to remaining dancers!
How does registration work?
Registration will open at 8AM on September 11 via the above Google Form link. Spots will fill on a first come, first served basis and the form will close once it hits the maximum capacity. We suggest being ready right at 8AM as our performance opportunities historically fill quickly.
What style is the routine?
Dancers can expect an energetic Pom & Hip Hop fusion routine!
Do I need any skills or experience?
We suggest dancers have intermediate dance experience for this performance opportunity. In addition to the choreography, dancers will be placed in various formations and will need to transition to different spots throughout the routine.
No specific skills are required! After registration, we will send out a questionnaire so you can tell us about your skills & we may incorporate them into the performance!
Where is the game / what is call time?
The game will be held at Northwest Stadium in Landover, MD and begin at 8:20PM. While an exact call time to the stadium is TBA, it will likely be approx. 3 hours prior to the start of the game. Our performance will take place before the game in Legends Plaza.
Where are the rehearsals held?
Rehearsals will take place at Gold's Gym - Ballston, located in Arlington, VA. This is also where we host our drop-in classes! It is a short walk from the Metro’s orange and silver lines (Ballston-MU & VA Square stops) and has a free, large parking lot for dancers who drive! Park in GYM ONLY designated spots to prevent having your car towed!
