Gala Recap: Celebrating 10 Years of AVA

On October 7, we celebrated our 10-year anniversary of dancing in the DMV with our first-ever Gala!

Members of our community, instructors and their loved ones joined us at The Renegade in Arlington, VA for this special night! In addition to the dancing (of course), dancers were treated to a photo booth, photographer, videographer, food, exclusive shopping of our new merch drop, and our specialty cocktail of the evening - the AVA 75.

Prior to the evening's raffles (which included rhinestoned AVA cups, free classes, and more), the AVA Admin Team jumped on stage for a special performance. The DJ also intertwined mixes from our previous performances throughout the night.

AVA was created by Leah Mariner in 2016, and here's what she had to say about this milestone:

"I can’t believe it’s been 10 years since I started AVA and I am so proud that I was able to host this event to celebrate with all of the people that make this community so special 💜✨🪩💃🏻

I’m still smiling thinking about this incredible night and all the amazing people who filled the room. What started 10 years ago as just a dream has grown into so much more than a dance company. It’s a community, a place to find your people, a space to grow, and a reminder of the joy that comes from doing something you love.

Getting to celebrate a decade of AVA alongside our amazing team, dancers, friends, and the people who have been part of this journey means more to me than I can put into words. 🥹🫶
