Since 2024, we've been honored to be selected performers in Washington DC's National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade!
This event occurs in mid-April in front of Washington DC's National Archives Building. It is broadcast live and also distributed to regional (ABC7) and national television stations throughout the spring! Please note that this event takes place outside and is rain or shine.
Our dancers prepare two dances over four weeks to perform in the televised parade. Traditionally, we have two performances: as featured performers in the parade's finale and as supporting dancers for a recording artist. We have performed with artists such as The Funky Bunch, mary jo, and Gabby Samone.
Parade day requires an early start, so make sure you're ready! We gather in the filming area before sunrise to coordinate with TV crews and other performers for blocking. Unlike the Independence Day Parade, we don't walk the entire route for this event. After completing our initial performance, we remain at the front of the parade (off-camera) for our grand appearance in the event's finale! Tickets for the spectator area can be obtained through the National Cherry Blossom Festival, and our day usually concludes around noon.
Cherry blossoms are synonymous with springtime in Washington DC and we love being part of this event annually!
