Technique Series Returns this Fall for 4-Weeks

We are so excited to bring back our dedicated Technique Series this fall with former pro dancer and choreographer Olivia Lou Evers.

Whether you're working toward cleaner extensions, sharper turns, or higher leaps, Olivia's expert coaching will help you break down the mechanics and build real strength.

• Dynamic stretching, conditioning and strength training

• Across the floor work including: turns, leaps, jumps, and kicks

• Focus on placement and body alignment

• Limited space gives you the opportunity to get personal attention

Each class will also highlight fundamentals of that week’s focus:

September 13 (Week 1): Flexibility, Extensions & Kicks

September 20 (Week 2): Turns

September 27 (Week 3): Leaps & Jumps

October 4 (Week 4): Combination of choreography including turns, jumps, & leaps

The 75 minute long classes will begin at 3PM & will be held at Gold’s Gym - Ballston. The series is $125 and open to a limited number of dancers.

Meet the Instructor: Olivia

Olivia Lou, a Jacksonville, Florida native received her early training from North Carolina School of the Arts. She graduated cum laude from Jacksonville University’s BFA dance program in 2011, where she had the opportunity to perform works by Jennifer Muller, David Parsons, Také Ueyama, Adrienne Clancy, and Christian Von Howard. She has toured nationally and internationally as a company member with Jennifer Muller/The Works of NewYork City, Surfscape Contemporary Dance Theatre of Florida, ClancyWorks Dance Company of D.C. , and Company Danzante of Virginia. She has been teaching & choreographing various styles and ages for 15 years including responsibilities as a Production Manager, Prop Manager, and an Assistant Director of the AD dance company. Olivia is currently based in Northern Virginia but travels nationally for masterclass & choreography opportunities!
